More like a game, less like doing work.
I don't need a character walking around in a 3D world or anything, but when I play other simple games on my phone, I feel like there is a celebration when I do well and progress. On the other hand, when I go through the process of getting a power-up in the SuperBetter app, it feels like I'm using project planning software, or something. It starts to feel like a chore, without much fanfare.
The colorful burst when I get resilience points is nice, but then it's gone and I don't see my points added to anything.
The achievements are…

hyper links broken!?
when I started my journey, clicking on 'injury/illness" or the other on did not take me anywhere, but once I just went to "superbetter.com" I found that I was all signed up and ready. Now I cannot edit anything, or delet my profile because I'm SICK OF THIS already and want to give up. I don't have any major problem, I just thought I could get help motivating myself...so I can't imagine someone with a bigger problem who really needs help must feel. Hyper links do not work! grrrr

Dynamic font in iOS
Lots to read and low on energy. It would help if the app responded to my font settings in the phone so that the text was not so small.

Add way to annotate power up activations
If would be great if activating a power-up allowed me to describe the specific thing I did in a few words. it would help show progress meaningfully, and support reflection. Eg. When activating Friends and family > adding specifically "called mom" or lazy exercise > "did desk yoga" -- a rich patchwork of positive actions could emerge.

Gamification
I love the concept of gamifying real life challenges. I especially love all the science to back it up. I just wish the UI had the feel of a game. It currently is as exciting as checking things off a to do list. You get to see yourself “level up” but the levels seem arbitrary. What if you were an avatar moving through and exploring a world with different terrains/cities, etc. You could still have the same customization of making it your own journey by utilizing menus and choices as you go. When you complete a power up your…

Internal check lists
I would love to have a way to have sub tasks under a master task. For example. I have a workout routine power-up, within that routine I would like to list the multiple exercises I need to finish within the routine. This would help me keep track of what I need to do to finish the routine.

The basis behind choosing your epic win - gaining allies with common goals
I watched Jane McGonigal's TED talk where she talks about saving the world with gaming and thought it was fascinating. I'd like to make my epic win something very meaningful but right now it's very general (get better in all four of the resilience categories) which makes it hard to really see my progress.
I think it would be great if you could befriend (become allies with) enough people on SuperBetter that had common goals and you could all work together and help each other get to where you want to get.
Just like WoW or some other game, you…

Would like to be able to customize powerpack quests with image, like you can powerups
you can customize powerpacks and bad guys with your own images (it puts the original image as a little tiny square at the bottom right so you know what pack it originally came from). I would like to be able to do this with quests also. It is helpful to me in knowing what a quest relates to (sometimes not evidenced by the title).

Looking awesome!
Guys and Gals,
Thanks for all your hard that's clearly gone into this site. I've been really struggling with my depression since my mom was diagnosed with Alzheimers. This site really gives me a lift. I think I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now, and look forward to charting more progress toward my goals. If there's anything I can do to help out, say the word.

Android and Translations
Do you guys have any plans to launch SuperBetter for Android??
Also do you have plans to translate SuperBetter to other languages? I'm from Brazil and I really love this game. I just started but it is already helping me.. And I know some people that could use a game like this but they can't read english.10 votes -
More Power Packs
I've found that there are actually very limited power packs here...and there definitely needs to be more! I was looking for some stuff that helps me get more fit, but I'm not particularly lazy or overweight, just looking to get more toned. Something like that for me would've been great! And more stuff on meditation, finding one's self, pursuing goals and creativity. Maybe some more power packs would be great!
It may even be a cool way of re-introducing those who have disappeared from the site, by introducing a new power pack every two weeks or month, and messaging…

How about using the player assigned icons when the activity shows up?
I get my allies' icon when they do something. I'd like their icon for the activity, not just their ID icon, if possible. The way it shows up in my feed for my stuff.

Please fix the Android app - it's terrible.
The SuperBetter app is terrible. I need to vent.
I really like Super Better, and was excited to see the app available in the Android store. It was a bit more expensive than I'm comfortable with, but I thought it would be worth it.
For the most part, it is, but it has some major problems that would keep me from recommending it to others.
First, crashes. It hangs frequently, and I get a lot of notifications from my OS telling me so.
Second, content creation is very frustrating. If you switch tabs while creating a new Power-up, Bad Guy,…12 votes -
Help! I already started playing and this thing says it does not recognize my email address.
I'm really into this...where am I? I already did some work on this.
1 voteHi Caryn,
I believe I sent you an email about this a few days ago – any of your game data prior to March 9 wasn’t saved. This is because we had so many changes to the platform that it was impossible to bring in the old game data. You’ll have to create a new account and set up your game on the new platform, but hopefully once you see all the improvements you’ll find that it is worth it. :)
Cheers,

Journaling Feature
Please create option to enter briefly what was done for power-ups, quests, & bad guys. This would be helpful to see and promote progress over time. It'd be very helpful if this 'journal' could then be exported to a file at some point.

Have player-made quests appear in To-Do sidebar?
Hello!
I find the To-Do sidebar that gives you check marks to be the most motivational thing that gets me to play superbetter every day (so helpful!).
However, I find myself glossing over and ignoring some potentially very useful quests that I have made for myself because they do not appear in the to-do bar and don't count toward the 3 quests a day for the checkmark. Would it be possible to create a function so that players can add their own powerpacks or individual quests that will appear in the bar and thus be more exciting to complete?

clearer user interface
hey, i'm a frontend developer, and i think the interface could be a lot more streamlined/clearer on how to get from one section of the site to the other.
it seems like header of the site is broken into three sections: superbetter, profile, and resilience. i think a simple design change to make each section more clear could really help.
another design choice that irked me was the power ups and secret lab icons were only available on the superbetter page, and disappeared as soon as you clicked them! so you couldn't quickly switch between pages.
overall, i think…

Concussion.....
Why is it that you make it so difficult to navigate and figure out the website… This is not very helpful for people who are suffering from a concussion like you did. We need something easier maybe more videos would be helpful....and less puzzles.

Resilence meter not very fluid
I always thought that the resilience bar was a way to keep people constantly involved and engaged...that eventually the meter would drop if you were inactive for too long, and maybe starting from your last set of gained resilience points. It almost feels like the bar's not even there. How the power packs are built, I can't evenly gain resilience, and I thought the resilience would be able to get me something or make me feel more encouraged...
In addition to making the resilience drop...what if the resilience was able to get me perks of some kind? Maybe something as…
