My ally suggested a check-in but there is nothing on the site!
I got an email from superbetter.com saying my ally "suggested a Check In." and to click the link "Go to your Secret Headquarters to see what it is."
I clicked the link... and there is nothing there. Where do I find this?
4 votesHmm. That’s incredibly peculiar. What happens if you change the last part of the URL while you’re at your Secret HQ to be /suggestions instead of /secret_hq (I think that’s what it is, might be slightly different). That is the hard link directly to your suggestions page. Does anything show up?
OLDER RESPONSE——
On the left hand side of your secret HQ, there should be a link that says SUGGESTIONS (in the same place as the links that say ACTIVITY, QUESTS, ALLIES, etc). When you click that, you should be able to see the suggestions. Let me know if it’s not working! -

Links on the activity log
I find the links in the activity log non-functioning. I am an ally and when I check on the status of my hero I can see an activity log of what he has done (example-Steve activated This Too Shall Pass power up about 2 hours ago) So I like to see what the This Too Shall Pass is (so maybe I can make a comment or something to in-courage Steve, but when I click on it, it doesn't bring me to the page This Too Shall Pass.

More "like" options
Right now I can't tell who "like"'d my stuff, and if I accidentally click "like" on my own thing there is no way to undo it. These things need fixing, please.

Cryptonite
Some bad guys are trivial enough, minions really, that they can be tackled quite easily: a simple bounce for your typical goomba. But other enemies require a bit more strategy, so why not list some weaknesses/hints/cheats?
A text field could prompt users to enter effective strategies and ineffective ones. And when all else fails and the battle is still lost, users can opt out and use their "get out of jail free card".
A little something like this
Bad Guy: The Insomniac
Weakness: Cold Shower, Reading in bed, Chamomile Tea...............Battle Results...............
( ) Fail
( ) Win
( )…
14 votesA lot of people have been asking for the ability to have a list of power-ups that are effective against certain bad guys – this is a fun way to do it :)
So is the idea behind a retreat that it’s basically a fail but we don’t count it as a fail in your scoreboard?

Adding an allie...
This is ackward. You are encouraged to do so, and though I have found some, how do I add them to keep track of them?
1 voteYou can add and view allies on your HQ (you must be logged in) by clicking on Allies on the left-side menu.

Make text limit on invitations clear
Currently invitations can have longer text put into them than shows up in the invitation (or at least than shows up in the invitation if a user looks in their 'sent' box).
It could be good to either remove the limitation (if it's real), or show the full invite message in the sent area. I had a moment of panic thinking that these people who I was already a little nervous asking to join me in SuperBetter were getting truncated invites that would seem incoherent.

Add more icons to choose from when you give your sidekick an award.
My sidekick and I sometimes give each other awards, and we thought it'd be nice to have a larger variety of icons to chose from. Not real important, but just an idea.

Power Up Buttons and Organization
Love the game so far!
I was wondering if there could be an "I Did This" button next to the "View" button. It seems like unnecessary work to click "View" and load a new screen in order to do the Power Up.
Also, is there a way for me to organize my Power Ups, possibly by one of the four types of resilience? I have a long list of Power Ups, and it sometimes is tedious to scroll through them all.
Thanks for all of your hard work!

customizing things
Hi - great job on this site. one thing that would make it better, maybe: when creating one's own power-ups, bad guys, and quests, users should be able to specify how many points they get for each thing, and more than 1 category (physical, emotional, etc.) should be available.
Thanks!

Mobile version and more time between tasks
I'm brand new, and love SB already.
It would be great if there was a Web friendly version of the site for mobile, I use Android.
It would also be beneficial if there weren't so many challenges set immediately after each other on the weight loss program, as I felt like I couldn't get away from the website, so I could do some other work.1 vote -
Cumbersome Bad Guys
I like the fact that you've made it easier to delineate our engagement with the Bad Guys; however, I've downloaded several powerpacks and the process of clicking on each one, marking battle win, fail or vanquish, and then selecting degree of difficulty has become cumbersome. I find myself skipping the wins and only recording battle fails and vanquishes.

Where is the game?
I don't get this game - or rather, I don't understand how it is a game. It feels like one of those workbook fill in the blanks self-help books. Is there some actual online gaming thing I'm missing. As far as I can tell, I'm just supposed to do a bunch of stuff off-line and then mark whether or not I did it. IS this correct, or is there an actual game that is supposed to happen? Also, what and where is the Activity Wall; I was never brought there.
7 votesSuperBetter uses gameful design to help you achieve your goals – so you’re right that the gameplay itself takes place in the real world, since that’s where you’re trying to achieve your goal! It’s not a game in the sense of a video game, but all of the pieces in it are based on game design principles.
The activity wall is visible on your HQ (you must log in) – click on “Activity” on the left-side menu and you’ll see a list of your actions and have the ability to post status messages. I hope this helps!

Bug: I seem to have a quest that won't delete! Or show completed!
I have a quest that is set on one time use and it won't complete. I tried 5-8 to click it off as done and I have also tried to delete it. Nothing seems to work. Any advice?

sorting of various elements
Is it possible to rearrange the order of elements in each section (quests, bad guys, etc)? I have created many of my own but find the order to be contrary to how I use them and now that I downloaded a bunch of super packs its infinitely worse! I either have to scroll WAY down to find what I seek or even worse yet have to dig through a giant list to find it. Just being able to rearrange these lists would be so helpful in getting superbetter. Otherwise I LOVE this "game" and find it immensely helpful in my…

I have been on Superbetter for a week and here is my feedback
Hi there,
I am enjoying superbetter, but I feel that it has some issues and thought I would share my impression of the site now that I have been on it for a week.
Can't send messages to allies or directly communicate with them. This makes becoming acquainted with allies or getting to know them quite difficult
The forum is confusing and feels very 2001 and makes it difficult to find allies in a simple way. At least for me it would be easier if it was organized more in the fashion of groups, such as tribe.net (which in itself…

Very Buggy, Poor Interface Design
I am blown away by the idea of this site. I am a fan of Jane McGonigal and a game design student in Montreal (almost finished). I have had a similar idea but of much more limited scope--so I'm definitely a fan of this project. But it seems like an alpha version.
The interface is exceptionally poorly designed and confusing. And buggy. Just a few quick examples.
1) I was able to invite myself as a friend and now appear as my own ally, even having received email saying, "Andrew Kozloski, you have just agreed to be an ally of…
