1. Quests vs Routines

   Hi! I joined superbetter because I realize I like games, and I like self improvement, so I may as well turn my self improvement into a game.

   I think the "game" would be better if it made room for "routines". Those real life things that you need to do, and if you don't, it can prevent you from really moving forward with your real goals.

   There are two things that I have to fight constantly: procrastination, and disorganization.

   The two are definitely related. If I don't do a good job of tracking what I need to do, I let stuff pile up. And if I let stuff pile up, I find that I spend more time playing catchup with urgent stuff than actually moving forward with my real goals.

   Sometimes stuff piles up so badly that I don't even do the urgent stuff. It's a vicious cycle where the more I have to do, the less I want to do. The only way to break it is to stay on top of my routines.

   I've tried turning these routines into recurring quests. But even this has a way of piling too many things into a single list. For someone like me, it can be overwhelming or confusing to see those daily errands piled up with other ambitious goals and projects.

   Routines are the "grinding" in the RPG of life. Whacking rats with sticks isn't that fun compared to exploring a new castle, or defeating a new boss. But it's somehow still fun because you know it's part of the game. The "grind" is what earns you a few bonuses to be able to tackle the next big quest.

   This is probably a slight expansion in scope for SuperBetter. But I imagine there are a TON of users who would benefit from visiting one site to make big strides, and still stay on top of the daily grind. Whether you're trying to drink 8 glasses of water per day, or write 5 pages of your novel today. (Permitting days off, of course!)

   And it would be simple to add. Not that different from the other functionality, just with a different heading and focus.

2. Allow the player to organize power-ups to suit hir needs

   I have accumulated many power ups, from power packs and my own creation, and I do not have organizing them to suit my daily needs. This is especially frustrating when I come up with my own power up and it gets added to the very bottom of my power up list.
   I propose allowing players to fully customize the order of how they view their power ups as well as offering filters to categorize power ups. These filters may include "most used", "least used" (to help players figure out what they need to focus on), "trending" (to make it easier for players access ones that they are currently working on), and "view by category" (which would show players their power ups pertaining to physical/social/emotional/mental areas. Thank you for your time and effort in creating a program that, in my experience, has helped me heal and grow.

3. Ally Things

   Within the app I'd like to be able to do more than like or comment on my allies' activities. Like the website, I'd like to be able to assign quests, power ups, and achievements in the app.

4. Let us make and share our own powerpackages :D

   Wouldn't it be great of you could make an entire powerpackage yourself, and then share it with everyone?
   So everyone would be able to do everyone's packages and there would be so many packages to pick from! (:

5. Make a Google Chrome app for SuperBetter

   Google Chrome apps work like bookmarks for your internet browser - websites are represented with icons that show immediately when you open the Chrome browser. A SuperBetter app on Google Chrome would allow people who use Chrome to be reminded of SuperBetter & easily access the site.

8. Editing powerpack badguys/powerups/etc

   We can do some edits for what's included in powerups, but not all. I want to be able to change the names and descriptions to be more relevant for me.

9. Daily email game reminders, included suggestions for today

   Firstly, thank you so much for providing this game. It's awesome! I'm not even a gamer, but I think this is a good way to spread the healing.

   My suggestion is to provide the gamer the ability to get a daily email with tips on how they can get more points. Allow the user to opt-in to get this email.

   I know that I would love to reminded every day of these tips :)

12. Would like to be able to customize powerpack quests with image, like you can powerups

    you can customize powerpacks and bad guys with your own images (it puts the original image as a little tiny square at the bottom right so you know what pack it originally came from). I would like to be able to do this with quests also. It is helpful to me in knowing what a quest relates to (sometimes not evidenced by the title).

13. Why am I seeing messages from my Allies' allies in my Activity Feed?

    I should not be able to see messages from my allies' allies when I am on my own Dashboard, in hero mode. This is very confusing and disturbing from a privacy standpoint.

14. Remove/Alter Level 10 Secret Move

    I have been touting SB all over the place but now I have a pet peeve. If you haven't gotten to level 10, stop reading..................

    Not only do I abhor swearing with a passion, excessive swearing makes me feel absolutely, totally superhorrible. Not to come off as sounding like a moralist and not to disprove the scientific evidence behind swearing, I am not comfortable with the idea of swearing for up to two minutes as a "secret move," especially if this site is for 13 year olds. I know it's wishful thinking but wow guys. :-/ I think this secret move needs to be altered or removed. :-(

15. Title of the Question and Content

    I got one quest named "Time Management Maestro". Reading it becomes clear that it is about fighting the negative self-talk - which is still fine with me - but a little confusing. I think it is reasonable to rename it. Thanks for the great work!

16. Printable To-Do List

    One thing I would really like is a way to print out my To Do List for the day. One of my biggest bad guys is being online too much. I am finding that because I also want to be really involved with SuperBetter quests, that I am here more than I should be. If I could print out a to-do list and any info needed to do it early in the day and check back in to SuperBetter later in the day to check it off and check on ally stuff that would be ideal.

17. SuperBetter, a force for good.

    I know I posted some of this in the Mobile App section, but I want to put it here as well to make sure that someone, anyone, from the team that developed, maintained, consulted or helped this project take place can read this:

    You should all be so proud. I hope you realise every day how many lives you've saved and how many people you've made better through this. You may not be scientists curing cancer, you may not be solving global conflicts, but what you've made here could have just as much of a profound, positive effect on the world.

    I hope one day, the global press find that too and reward you with just as much praise and gratitude as any of the others.

    I may not be rich or powerful enough to reward you with much, all I can do is use words, the tools of my trade, to make it abundantly clear that ( hopefully without seeming hyperbolic or patronising) this stuff matters.

    Plenty of people will thank you for what you've made here, I can't pretend to be any more important than anything they have to say. But I also know how easy it can be when you have such a constant and massive wave of gratitude to very slowly and subtly, let it start to wash over you and find it hard to feel as much joy for each individual story when there are so many of them. I'm not suggesting it has happened, but I know how easily it can happen without one realising.

    So all I would ask, of anyone who can, please just take a few minutes out of your surely hectic working day today and let yourself realise how much of an impact you've made. Allow yourselves the moments of pure joy and utter pride in what you've created.

    Am I able to post independent messages for my "ally" profile and have that name/avatar show up or will they all default to being posted by my "hero" profile? I'm not sure why we have two "secret identities" if one of them doesn't let you comment.
