How can we improve SuperBetter?

  2. Go Nonprofit, get Bill Gates to get you servers and support.

    The last few weeks I've had much difficulty logging on and using the site. Someone suggested it might be a traffic issue, and I log in before 7 am and everything is working pretty well (still have that comment post glitch where I have to refresh to see that something has posted). I have a master's degree in public and nonprofit administration and think this might be an avenue to make SB sturdier and better without going commercial.

  3. multiple categories in custom power-ups.

    in making custom power-ups, it would be nice to be able to check more than one box as to category, as it is with some of the pre-set power-ups.

    These aren't occasional errors. Just trying to complete my 3 quests, power-ups, and a battle I typically see this error 2-3 times, often repeatedly preventing me from logging on of these events. I know at least one of my allies is in the same boat. If varies from day to day, but since I signed up a month ago most days have been barely usable or unusable.

    I really appreciate that this is a free service, but the server problems are doing your followers and yourselves a huge dis-service. Instead…

  10. Movable or panneled quests, power ups and bad guys

    This way it's easier to prioritize on the go and change every quest, power up or bad guy's importance everytime needed without effort. Because you won't have the same needs everyday and sometimes in your life comes surprises and you really need to have an awesome tool like this but more flexible.

    I really really want there to be a mobile app for Android. I am willing to spend some amount of time on it for free (and will sign an NDA if you require), and if you are happy with the results, would like to talk about possibility of working remotely on the project.

  12. Please make this site work!

    I'm sorry, but I really think Superbetter could be awesome, but it's not! I have been trying really hard to stay with this game. I do subscribe to other self-improvement games, like lumosity, and i am happy with what i've accomplished. i feel that Superbetter has potentially much more to offer than lumosity, but it is such an unpleasant experience! Every day some part of the site isn't working, whether it be the ability to create an bad buy, do my nightly tracker, invite an ally. . . just anything. It's a daily battle against the interface! I want this…

    Really a big deterrent if you can't log in and even if I do get through it often does the error message "we are working to make SB better"

  14. Get Funding! (Kickstarter or Inverstors)

    Currently, the game is reaching massive appeal - and I'm sure your subscriber base is expanding exponentially (friends tell friends etc...) however - your servers cannot handle the load and consistently puts out the "We're making SuperBetter SuperBetter right now!" (I'm sure you know this - unless you are completely out of touch with the site!)

    When I first joined - it would happen once every few minutes, however now it feels like it is happening ALL THE TIME (I tried to add a power up 5 times in a row and I kept getting that message)

    Longer posts on the Activity Wall are only partially visible, and don't seem to be expandable on the mobile app. Would be great for future referencing.

  17. Add a powerpack for anorexia/eating disorder recovery?

    The body positivity pack is nice, but it would be useful to have bad guys like Thinspo and powerups for eating healthy foods and stuff. Specifically catering to those recovering from anorexia or bulimia or the like.

  18. different allies, different goals

    It is great the superbetter has focused me on one goal (because my tendency is to adopt too many), but the truth is that i am facing both a challenging personal situation AND a challenging professional one, and I'm using superbetter to cope with both. I need very different allies for those two challenges, and there are powerups that I have not created because I would not want professional allies to see some of the personal things I'm wrestling with.

  19. Ability to mute/deprioritize certain quests/bad guys/power-ups

    A significant number of the pre-made (or quest pack) quests, bad guys, and power-ups are completely irrelevant to me (or duplicated). Ones I have added should be sorted towards the top, and I should be able to check-box ones that I want to fall to the bottom/grey out/become less relevant. Because they may become useful later, they shouldn't just delete (unless there's a 'go here to see the stuff you've muted' menu, but that seems complicated to code).

    It is significantly annoying and makes the site harder to use for me to have to scroll past three screens of stuff…

  20. physical limitations criteria needed in profile

    Can we have options listed in the profile to limit the challenges to those that are within our ablilities, or else use more inclusive language that is suitable for ALL abilities. This is supposed to be a platform created by people recovering from injuries. Yes some may use if for wieghtloss, or other uses, but some may use if for very debilitating or permanent injuries, or birth circumstances, and may find things like walking up stairs, walking blocks instead of driving (when it it is a struggle to walk 5 steps), to be very discouraging.
