As of August 30th we’ve moved the infrastructure to Amazon AWS and many of these problems are being addressed. We’ll be keeping an eye on this, but know that we’re watching.
Thanks!

This is planned :) My power-ups are all emotions, and I desperately want to note all the little things in the day that made me feel curious, or delighted, or loved – so I’ve got it prioritized pretty highly!
An error occurred while saving the comment Justin White commentedThanks! When I activate "Read a Book" I like to mention which book I'm reading in case my allies or curios - or in case I want to see how what I'm reading is impacting my emotional health. (Currently reading "Reality is Broken" ;) So inspired! )

An error occurred while saving the comment Justin White commentedGiven the current issues with pages not loading (being replaced with 'we're making SuperBetter Better - which being tech savvy I know is a clever replacement of the '404' page when the server times out.) This suggestion is even more important because it will get you the funds you need to upgrade your servers.
The more people find out about this, get excited, and spread the word - your player base is starting to increase exponentially, I believe, and your starting to run into issues with your current hardware/bandwidth (reminds me of .. any major MMO that launched and had no idea the impact the huge influx of players would have on their servers causing them to crash!)

I watched both of Jane's Ted-Talks and started playing this on Wednesday, and just started reading her book, and she's inspired me in incredible ways in both my professional (I'm a game developer too) and personal life! OMG I went from depression to feeling like I can take on the world!

An error occurred while saving the comment Justin White commentedI would also like to see something along the lines of "Daily for (x) days" instead of having to do "7 times a week for (x) weeks".
Being able to select days of the week somehow is important too. I've started using it to keep on task with my business (depression/anxiety is my main issue, but procrastination and starting my own business are things I'm using the site for as well) and I currently have "Coding" at "5 times a week" without being able to set which days I intend to do it for reminders. Now in a way that's good (because if I decide to get some coding in on a different day - like for example I don't usually code on Thursdays because I have many other appointments, but I've decided to put a few hours in today because I felt up to it I've still completed the alloted hours of coding - just on a different day and maybe I'll cut back a little tomorrow.)
Whoops - run on tangent - but I think you get my idea.

An error occurred while saving the comment Justin White commentedMy psychologist suggested I try it and give her a review (since she had only heard about it from a colleague & had seen Jane's FIRST TED-talk and not looked at it herself) I have to say it triggers all of the same excitement and feedback mechanisms a new game I'm excited about does (I went to bed the first night thinking about all the things I could add as power ups and quests).
It's funny - objectively I know that calling a "To-Do" list a "Quest" list is a semantic change - but as a "virtuoso" gamer who has 10000+ hours of gaming - for some reason it triggers a completely difference response feedback in my brain!
I definitely have a lot more joy and excitement in my life ("Blissful Productivity") since I was introduced to this site! (Even moreso now that I'm reading her book - very inspirational to any gamer who feels like the 'real' world isn't anything to be excited about!)

An error occurred while saving the comment Justin White commentedI agree as an 'optional' feature if you select a gender in your profile. Some people would prefer the gender neutral option for additional anonymity (even though AFAIK only allies can see your activity - new users may not know that and there are people who might think that's more information than they'd care to give out.)

An error occurred while saving the comment Justin White commentedI flagged my own post as inappropriate because I forgot they went up publicly for voting - if possible could my allies name be removed from the original post?
I included it in case an admin wanted to view her profile and see the thread where she was asking about this issue - but since it's public I think it would be best if her name (even if it is only her 'hero name') be left off of the feedback.

An error occurred while saving the comment Justin White commentedHi Heather - as someone who understands the 'tech' side of websites in general I thought I'd take a moment to explain (I'm not staff *here*, but I understand what's happening)
This page comes up instead of the "404 - page not found" or "Server busy/unreachable" message. Basically what this means is - more people are accessing the site than the servers computers can handle.
It's not really an indication of bad coding or actual 'errors' - it just means they need to buy more servers or upgrade their existing ones! (Which is one of the reasons I'm a little surprised there isn't a subscription or donation option of any kind)
I definitely agree - it needs to be fixed - but the problem isn't what you think it is :) The web pages actually work just fine for the most part - its just that the game is starting to reach mass appeal as more and more people are discovering it and realising how much of a benefit the system is!

An error occurred while saving the comment Justin White commentedI like Frominator's idea of graphic themes. The rainbows and overuse of bring pinks/blues could turn people off (I hadn't noticed this myself, but now that it's mention I would prefer a different colour theme that's a little darker & more heroic in a Batman/Thor sort of way)

An error occurred while saving the comment Justin White commentedI'm also using this for my business development, creating my own perks and quests and bad guys (I've just lost against the "Active Procrastination bad guy by posting here when I should be programming ><)
I just referred my Business Coach here too. It's kind of funny because he just discovered Fitocracy which gamifies going to the gym and when I told him how much this site inspired me he wanted to check it out as a tool for his coaching.

An error occurred while saving the comment Justin White commentedLove it! So many times I see an idea on an ally's page and copy it over. It would be great if it would give the ally Compass points too - even though it wasn't a direct suggestion, things they've identified for myself does help me when this happens!

What is happening: To many people - not enough server processing power (I don't think they expected the exponential growth they've been getting)
Complication: They aren't charging us (and this not making any money to upgrade their server)
Solution: Funding - Kickstarter or Investers
