It would be great if I could add a forum friend directly as an ally, instead of needing to request their email.
It would be great if I could request a forum friend directly as an ally, rather than having to ask them for their (off-site) email address in order to send them a request.

Being able to decide the number of points a custom quest/power up/bad guy gives
Being able to decide the number of points a custom quest/power up/bad guy gives.
And being able to decide for multiple kind of resilience points.
To avoid astronomic numbers you can chose a limit (ex. between +1 and +10), or even better, let members vote the reward and apply the average.25 votes -
Activity Wall posting - progress bar or some other "working" indicator
When posting to the Activity Wall, after I've hit the Post button, it would be nice to see a progress bar or some indicator that the Post button click registered, until the post actually shows up on the wall.

I have been on Superbetter for a week and here is my feedback
Hi there,
I am enjoying superbetter, but I feel that it has some issues and thought I would share my impression of the site now that I have been on it for a week.
Can't send messages to allies or directly communicate with them. This makes becoming acquainted with allies or getting to know them quite difficult
The forum is confusing and feels very 2001 and makes it difficult to find allies in a simple way. At least for me it would be easier if it was organized more in the fashion of groups, such as tribe.net (which in itself is a bit dated but way easier to navigate). Also, it would be great if some of the forum features were incorporated into the site, such as messaging, profiles, groups, finding allies, etc (so you do not have to flip back and forth).
You need some sort of guidelines/advice/resources for people who may become allies or suspect their allies have issues such as eating disorder or need greater help than superbetter can provide. You really do not want to enable someone to lose weight when you suspect say they have an eating disorder and some guidelines on how to handle this would be useful. Especially, if you only know them via the forum/website and not in real life.
It is annoying to have to switch back and forth from the forum (with a different password, etc) to join a group or message someone.
I can't seem to delete things when I mistakenly add an extra quest or bad buy.
It would be great to be able to easily view a profile of an ally so that you could learn a bit more about them. Especially, if you do not know them in real life. Also, it would be helpful to learn more about their limitations or how you can be a better ally to them. For instance, you do not want to send someone out to have a drink with friends at a bar for a powerup if they have a drinking issue. It would be good to know these things in advance.
The Check-In feature is rather confusing and I still do not completely understand what it does. I accidently clicked on it 3 times for one person the other day since I saw nothing happening.
The point system seems kind of just made up and a bit irrelevant at times. It would be made more interesting if you could assign your own points to quests or if these points were made a bit more meaningful some how. Flossing your teeth daily should way different than say going for a root canal. The points also seem endless as if you can make as many points as your like which makes the point system seem a bit like currency devaluation. Basically, I have zero emotional connection with the point system what-so-ever and I find myself mostly ignoring it.
The fact that you can not click off daily tasks and that they still appear on your feed is really really frustrating. I want them to disappear so that I know that I did them magically reappear the next day.
It would be great if you could only see say 5 quests and you would have to complete them (or mark them off as not able to currently complete) and you would have to complete those 5 before anymore tasks/quests appeared.
It would be great to make some quests private. My allies do not need to know everything.
Also, some power ups should give you more strength than others. Stretching should be less than say running a block and what they are worth should be made visible.
It also seems by just looking through the forum that quite a few users have some serious mental health challenges and it might be wise to put some safe guards in place to make sure they are not taken advantage of by other users. At this point, it seems that their obvious vulnerability regrettably makes them targets.
It would be great to be able to list your strengths to help others, instead of joining together with the same weakness. For instance, if I am a whiz at clutter control/organizing but want to loose weight that could be valuable trade. Or maybe my day job is a librarian, I could help give some advice in data management to someone whose quest is to organize their computer/digital files and that person could help me with say learning to play the clarinet. If the social networking aspect of the game was more tapped into, superbetter could go beyond helping folks lose a few pounds, or deal with their depression or a physical limitations. It could also help folks improve, grow or gain a skill! Why limit it!
And the powerpacks are great! Would love to see more of them!

Make the Kindle version of the book cheaper than the paperback or hardcover
Paper, printing and shipping cost money. Digital copies do not. Please adjust.

Allow search by Mental/Emotion/Physical/Social through all Quests, Power Ups and Bad Guys
For example, I need to work on Emotional Power Ups and Quests and it would be really handy if I could search through all Power Packs and find only the emotion related ones.
I've been making up my own but I can't even identify some of my Bad Guys or what positive things I could be doing.
Great game! Making a real difference in the world =) Thanks!

A discrete link for donations
I love the fact there isn't a huge button screaming for donations. It adds to the positive effect of the game that money isn't involved at all. But I wish I could click around the site and find a donate button on an underlying page if I were to look for one. Is that a later quest? Practice altruism: and then a button will show up for give a dollar to the SuperBetter cause?
I always wondered why we hadn't started to use technology this way. The "Trauma Center" game on the Wii made me wonder why we couldn't use games for educational, practical, relevant fun but the game wasn't realistic. I figured people hadn't done something like this because it would be too wierd or geeky. SuperBetter is one of a kind and you pulled it off perfectly. I hope your efforts can expand and inspire others.

notification like other parts on your activity feed
when someone comments on something on my activity feed, i end up clicking and expanding all my activities to get to the new comment.
also i'd like to know what changed on my activity feed, like the facebook notification thingie, you'd never miss something an ally commented/liked.

Pictures of the activities visible on the activity wall?
I'd love to see the pictures of the activities on the Activity wall, instead of my own profile picture. Is it possible? It would make it a lot easier to wiew my recent activities - you could already tell by the pictures :)

Timezone Error Resets Power-Ups, Quests, and Bad Guys at Wrong Time
I live in the US on the west coast and my timezone is set properly in the SuperBetter app, but everyday my Power-Ups, Bad Guys, and Quests reset at the wrong time. So, when I wake up in the morning my app is telling me I completed tasks I actually did yesterday. The same is true at night, when I check in and all my accomplishments from the day have disappeared. I've written to the SuperBetter team about this issue so many times, but they still won't fix it and I'm at a total loss for what to do.

make text on site Accessible
Increase the contrast of text vs. background to make the site accessible to those of us with vision problems. As we age, our vision naturally declines and viewing text on computer screens (light behind the text) make lighter text even paler and more difficult to read. With my migraines I have very blurry vision. The lighter text of the navigation, I can barely see.
VisionAustralia.com has a great testing tool for testing for webpage luminosity and contrast. I would expect that many of your users suffer from problems that effect their vision (including aging).7 votes -

Cancel or undo option for registering an Epic Win
There needs to be something like an "Are you sure you want to...?" message that appears after a user clicks the button that indicates they've achieved their Epic Win. I'm asking this because twice now in the last 6 months or so, In the SuperBetter app in Safari on my iPad, I've accidentally registered an Epic Win attainment. :( There needs to be an action "cancel" option in place.

Clicking on links in activity takes me to... activity?
I have to check and see if this happens on my activity page as well but when on my ally's activity page I sometimes click on bad guys or power-ups I don't know and expect I will go to the page that explains what they are... but instead I go back to the activity page. D'oh!

Translate the game
You can made something like Facebook does, where community is allowed to translate the game into their own languages. There is people around the world who doesn't understand English very well, but they would enjoy this game.
Thanks!

I could really use a description field for Future Boosts. Putting the whole thing in the title is ugly and odd.
