Persistent Error: Server code 500
Server error code 500 comes up very frequently when doing a variety of things, from adding bad guys to activating power ups to reading science cards. Sometimes the action silently completes (without confirmation) despite the error, as with battling bad guys, but sometimes it does not, as when adding a new bad guy. It is really distracting and makes it difficult to get the full benefit from this app.
I'm using an iPhone 4 on the latest iOS update. I've tried restarting the app but saw no improvement.
As of August 30th we’ve moved the infrastructure to Amazon AWS and many of these problems are being addressed. We’ll be keeping an eye on this, but know that we’re watching.
Thanks!

  I'm having this problem now. May 12, 2016. I've been using the app for about three months and it just started happening about a week ago. Only happens when I try to add Quests. Is there a limit to the number you can add?

  Still a problem for me, it's demotivating when you are trying to interact but cant. I want to use the app bc it's easier to check off what I'm doing. Very frustrated with the poor performance of the site too -- you guys ever considered CDN caching or an architecture revamp to boost load times?
I really hope you get more funding to solve these infrastructure issues :)

  I get it too on my iPhone 4. Trying to add a power up, trying to add an ally and trying to just complete a quest. Hopefully this will get sorted out because it severely lowers the effectiveness of an otherwise awesome app!!

  I have the same problem. I have an iPhone 4S. I honestly want to add this error message to my list of Bad guys. Irony.

Error domain=NSURL Code=500 "Server returned status code 500" ... {NSLocalizedDescription=Server returned status code 500}

  And here is one more voice to add to this chorus:
I get the Error 500 code frequently on my iPad.
SB Folks, are you doing anything at all to remedy this? Anything? Anything? -

Very, very frequently. Less so with Chrome than Safari (on the site); not so often with the app (but perhaps because it is less-fully-featured?).

  Same here. SB team: are you using any kind of tool to notify you of 500s and other server app issues?

  Just installed the app, lots of errors appearing. Very bad first impression.
