OOPS! We are making Superbetter Superbetter
I just joined after my husband saw the TED Talk and it seems like almost every other link I click I get the error message mentioned in the topic. It's frustrating. I use a Samsung Infuse 4G Android phone. I have tried the default browser and Dolphin Browser. I have too many chronic pain issues to be repeatedly accessing Superbetter from the computer, so I need it working on my phone. Why am I getting so many errors? It was also frustrating to take the time to send an email with a screenshot, only to get an autoresponse that y'all can't respond to emails. That needs to be stated on the contact page, or the contact form should be removed with an explanation and then added back if/when y'all can start responding.

It's 2014 now and I'm not seeing the site being updated or improved AT ALL. I was really hoping this could help change my life, and now I feel like I'm playing with the decrepit remnants of something that was once supposed to be great. Where is all of the support? Where is the Android app? Where is the communication from the staff? Is this another absent watchmaker scenario?

I get the error ALL THE TIME - on my laptop with windows 7, not even a mobile phone! It's really annoying and frustrating and discouraging.

Justin White, thank you for that explanation, but I have to agree with everyone. I don't really care what the problem is. I want it to stop! I am an Ally, and I mostly just send email to my Hero now; this message comes up no matter what I'm trying to do. John, you mention that you lose what you have entered. I just cut and paste it into a notepad now, every single time, so that when I inevitably lose it, I can copy and paste it as many times as needed.
If the problem is servers, add me to the list of people asking for a donation button.

this is happening to me *constantly* - every time i log on.
its especially frustrating when i'm trying to add something (power up or bad guy or whatnot) and then i lose what i wrote. over and over.
I've come close to giving up on Superbetter when this happens. sometimes i do, for a few days. It just feels so futile.A great idea that doesn't work...doesn't work.
to reduce the frustration factor, could screens with entry boxes/fields be left up, rather than disappear, when this happens?
or a more clear explanation of whats happening, in the text of the Oops screen, so we can make more informed choices?thansk for all the good work!

Same error on full site on computer. Almost constantly now. If you need funds: add a donate button, *please*.

I'm getting this message almost all the time now. I have to be v e r y patient to get anything done her at all. The reason I am here in the first place is because my life is kind of limited because of a mental illnes of a loved one. She can be pretty paranoid & controlling. So, I'd really really need a tool that would work whenever I have a moment for myself to sneak here and do the clicking. I love this application and I'd very much like to see the problem fixed! :)

Justin, thanks for the explanation. I'm voting for this not because you haven't explained it well but because this issue is, I think, a serious one. I get this "error" at least every other time I use the site lately, and it's -- well, it's a problem. So-- if the issue is that Superbetter needs more funds to update servers to be super better, maybe we can we can have a tasteful and non-guilt-inducing donate button, for those who can afford to donate and are inclined? I would donate. This is a basic issue of keeping the site running on a fundamental level. I don't have one ally who hasn't been frustrated by this.

Hi Heather - as someone who understands the 'tech' side of websites in general I thought I'd take a moment to explain (I'm not staff *here*, but I understand what's happening)
This page comes up instead of the "404 - page not found" or "Server busy/unreachable" message. Basically what this means is - more people are accessing the site than the servers computers can handle.
It's not really an indication of bad coding or actual 'errors' - it just means they need to buy more servers or upgrade their existing ones! (Which is one of the reasons I'm a little surprised there isn't a subscription or donation option of any kind)
I definitely agree - it needs to be fixed - but the problem isn't what you think it is :) The web pages actually work just fine for the most part - its just that the game is starting to reach mass appeal as more and more people are discovering it and realising how much of a benefit the system is!
