Bad guy “badges of honor”
I think the bad guy encounters could be made more engaging and immersive by including some way to either “take damage” or get rewards that are specific to any encounter with a bad guy. I think the point of the current setup was that losing points is discouraging and might not be a good idea for people who are genuinely struggling with something heavy. To be honest I agree with that line of thinking and I wouldn’t want to lose any of the points that I’m making from quests either, that would nullify my other successes in a sense. So I was thinking maybe there could be a health bar that goes down a little if you lose and resets each day, or maybe there could be different trophies awarded based on the outcome of the encounter. This way you still award points for each encounter but for example losing to the bad guy would award a “battle scars” trophy that only gives 5 points but the next level could be “hard fought victory” for 10 points and finally “unscathed” when you just dominate an encounter for 15 points or something. I would really enjoy this kind of addition to the app.
