"Embark" on quests, then pass or fail
In a real game, it is possible to embark on a quest, be on it for a period of time, and then fail. I cannot help but think we should be allowed to flag that we've started quest and then be able to input whether we succeeded or failed at it.
For example. Perhaps I am a workaholic and have a quest to get up and go eat something. I can't really push "I did this" until I've left. I want to interact with superbetter, to establish that I am currently on a mission to get off this chair in the next thirty minutes and go, to make some kind of confirmation or promise to fulfill the quest. to 'take' the quest, And I want to be able to succeed or fail at it in the end. But without being able to make a commitment to /do/ it, it's like I didn't start a quest, I just have a to-do list, and there's no way to tell which ones are in progress or not.

Agree this would be really helpful!

I find I have problems with this too; the "I did this" button should be reserved for power-ups and bad guys, but for quests, it should be "start this" and then a new button would pop up that will say "finished this". Maybe for the beginner quests that just ask you to do a small thing- like read a science card or something- it would still make sense, but for those that require you to do something outside of the app, a "start this" button, plus reminders to finish the quest and a "finished this" button would be more helpful. As well, it will feel more engaging to the user to know that they are "on" a quest.
P.S. This keeps users from leaving and forgetting the app once they have nothing else to do.
