I couldn't agree more. I'm disabled and felt shamed when I saw "walk a block." How presumptuous to assume that such a pleasant activity is a given for all of us. As another commenter said, 5 steps, or 1, can be a great achievement. Same for "take the stairs" and for the stairs = good/elevator = bad language.
Lastly, the term "lazy exercise" as a descriptor just doesn't work. It's pejorative and naive language. People who can't do the type of exercise you designate aren't lazy.
