  1. "Activated" power-ups for habit building

    I feel like there are two types of power-ups - things we do and things we maintain every day or build into habits. It would be nice to have a distinction, so that feel good/productive/learning/energizing power ups would say "I did this!" but habit power ups would simply be "activated" - like once you do a power up 5 out of 7 days in a row, or 90% of the time it would just be highlighted and glow because it is up and running.   2. I love SuperBetter!!

    I love your program. It really has helped me reshape my thinking toward my personal challenges. Thank you for creating this wonderful resource! I just had one suggestion for another Power Pack. What about a "Getting your House in Order" one that focused on finances and other things like that? Just a thought.

  3. SuperBetter deck of cards

    What if you put SuperBetter quests on a deck of cards. You could carry it around in your pocket or bag. And you don't need internet access.
    Cards usually have different suits (clubs, spades, hearts, etc.). What if instead you had suits of emotion resilience, physical resilience, mental resilience, etc. You can put the directions of how to play the SuperBetter quest on the first few cards.

  4. Mark As Completed Yesterday

    It would be helpful if there was a way to mark power ups, bad guys, & quests as completed yesterday. There are some (such as avoiding caffeine) that I don't know the answer to until the end of the day. I'm finding that I forget or am too tired to mark them at the end of the day though. There have also been several times that I noticed that a power up I did on the previous day completed a quest.

  5. working on heartbreaks

    I'm trying to recover from a breakup and my first reach for help was looking if you have some powerpack for recovering from a breakup and heartbreak. I think there might me some good powerups and missions to slowly feel better and to gain back "yourself" and the joy of living as a single. Maybe there are many more who would appreciate it there was a powerpack for mending broken hearts :-)

    There are some other powerpacks who can help in this situation, too - but I think nevertheless one designed for expecially this fight might be a big help…

  6. Organization

    It would be wonderful to have a way to custom organize power ups, bad guys and quests. At very least one could use a "sort by" option, with options for power ups like sort by: when conpleted, times done, most needed (going by their attained levels of resilience), etc.

  8. Have option to avoid pro-weight-loss/anti-fat material on the site.

    Please let us block all weight-related suggestions/ads. Many of us are getting superbetter from eating disorders/chronic dieting. Even large people like myself could really use a break from that same old "weight loss is what matters!" message we get everywhere on the web. We'd like to focus on getting healthier, not necessarily thinner!

  9. Creativity powerpack

    Hi,
    I enjoy superbetter a lot, I think it's a fantastic and fun tool for self improvement/ motivation etc. I wanted to suggest a creativity power-pack, that would encourage people to think differently about familiar things, find innovative solutions to problems, or just take out a few crayons and draw something, write something, photograph something, you get the picture. Another power pack that I would personally find very useful is about time-management. I would gladly help out in creating such power-packs.

  13. Need a "Major Surgery" or "Heart Disease" option for Getting SuperBetter From

    My daughter is using SuperBetter as she waits for and will eventually recover from her Heart Transplant and there is no "Getting SuperBetter From..." that remotely fits her situation. I know her situation is rare but a "Heart Disease" or "Major Surgery" option would be widely applicable.

  14. Better Editing!

    Hi there! I've been noticing some editing slips that got by your people. For example, in The Magnifying Glass, it says,

    "Any time you use this disputing tool—you'll learn how to the Quests . . . "
    when it should say
    "Any time you use this disputing tool--you'll learn HOW TO DO THE Quests...." (capitalized only to show correction)

    Also, The Truth Sleuth Part I should say "IDEAL" rather than "IDEA" in the title.

  16. Two ideas: posting of epic win pictures publicly and grouping of quests

    First idea: I wish I could group quests under overarching quests, to have small steps lead up in a progression in an organized manner, instead of having quests all over the place, some unattainable, some doable. Second idea: I also wish Superbetter had a blog or public place of some kind that wasn't Facebook so that people could submit pictures and captions of their Epic Wins if they so choose, thus inspiring other people and making themselves proud. Of course this would have to be moderated, but I think it would be a cool feature.

  17. Procrastination Power Pack

    Procrastination can be just as debilitating as any other emotional or physical issue.
    We've all dealt with it at some point. And it plagues the lives of many who are forced to confront tasks they wish to avoid.
    A Power Pack to address this would really be extremely positive, awesome, and appreciated!

  18. More agressive decay of current resilience.

    Currently, the decay of current resilience due to inactivity is unnoticeable. I have seen other users complain that this a disincentive to play the game, and I agree. I understand that part of the mission statement of the game is positive reinforcement, but having a small carrot/stick in the form of maybe, 10 lost resilience points per day if you do nothing on the site is a rather small stick. This decay can go down or become non-existent with increased activity.

  19. PTSD is not the opposite of a positive mindset

    The intro to your book contrasts ptsd with post traumatic growth and asks the question, "what makes the difference between buckling under extreme stress and flourishing because of it?"

    Your answer is, essentially, a positive outlook. This suggests that ptsd can be avoided through having the right mindset.

    Ptsd is a physiological reaction to extreme stress. You might as well suggest that diabetes or brain damage can be avoided with the right mindset.

    While a positive outlook can make it easier to live with ptsd, and to achieve post traumatic growth, the suggestion that it will fix or prevent ptsd…
