  1. Advanced Quest Creation

I love how simple everything is to use and understand. It was a snap to get started and very intuitive.

But parts of me wants to be able to go into my secret lab and use more advanced tools (they could be optional to prevent overwhelm at first) to create more sophisticated quest lines. I want to be able to create a quest chain, where completing one quest unlocks the next. This would allow me to craft goals, but see them only as bite size, keep me encouraged to keep moving forward and not let a huge list of every…

We’re having a gigantic meeting about how to make Power Packs more awesome, and are definitely considering enabling people to create their own Power Packs. It’s quite tricky/costly to develop, though, so we’re considering a model where you could pay some small amount of money to create your own Power Pack (complete with custom quest sequences, power-ups, bad guys, and icons), and then a slightly larger amount of money to create a Power Pack that you could then share with your friends and family.

In terms of random quests – we love that idea too! We’ll definitely be discussing it at our meeting :)

  2. Quests vs Routines

Hi! I joined superbetter because I realize I like games, and I like self improvement, so I may as well turn my self improvement into a game.

I think the "game" would be better if it made room for "routines". Those real life things that you need to do, and if you don't, it can prevent you from really moving forward with your real goals.

There are two things that I have to fight constantly: procrastination, and disorganization.

The two are definitely related. If I don't do a good job of tracking what I need to do, I let stuff…

  3. Need the option to do some quests once a month instead of once a week

There are certain activities I only do once a month, and I would like to add them as quests, but if I want them to be recurring, I have to list them as weekly. Can monthly be made an option? Setting an event for annually would be nice too. After all, there's only so many times a year I need to get a mammogram or pap smear done :)

  4. Display only non-completed Quests

It would be nice if the list of quests could be filtered to show only quests that I haven’t already completed. Otherwise it is unnecessarily difficult to find more things to do. What is the point in listing already-completed quests at all, anyway?

Where is it showing completed quests? As of right now, it should only show completed things A) On the to do list, on the same day you did the quest and B) On the website, you can access completed quests by selecting the “Past” option from the dropdown (to see completed + skipped quests)

  5. "Keep Track" option for user-created quests

There is a quest called "Sleep Satisfaction" that lets you rate your sleep on a scale.

It would be cool if you could make a rating quest yourself, one that tracks your responses on a graph. Example: I have chronic fatigue, and it would be helpful to be able to create a quest where I rate my energy levels for the day.

Alternatively, there could be the option to create a custom Tracker in your Secret Lab which then shows your progress in the not-yet implemented Insight section.

  6. Organization and Progress

I think it would be great to be able to organize quests according to importance and also to have the ability to have a new quest open up that is linked to a previous quest.

We’re working on the ability to click and drag quests around so you can change the order.

Currently, if you have a powerpack, when you complete certain quests you’ll unlock others. Is that similar to what you were thinking?

  7. Fix broken link in Palace Upgrade

The Palace Upgrade link is broken for the Palace Upgrade quest. When I click on the link in the Quest, it takes me here:

    and the page says:

  8. "Embark" on quests, then pass or fail

In a real game, it is possible to embark on a quest, be on it for a period of time, and then fail. I cannot help but think we should be allowed to flag that we've started quest and then be able to input whether we succeeded or failed at it.

For example. Perhaps I am a workaholic and have a quest to get up and go eat something. I can't really push "I did this" until I've left. I want to interact with superbetter, to establish that I am currently on a mission to get off this chair in…

  9. Daily Quests not Appearing as Completed

When I click a daily quest as completed, it still shows up as needing to be done that day (On to-do list and quest page).

I noticed on an earlier request about this issue, the admin said that a fix would be released in about a week (posted April 4th). That fix does not seem to have worked. Is this issue still being addressed?

  10. Allow User to put Quests in order, rather than the random? order they now end up in.

This is really about the interface in general for the listed items that the user enters, but I notice it most keenly in quests right now.
I want my quests to be in alphabetical order, or at least to have the option to list quests by alpha, chronological, or random order. This would be very helpful, because I am breaking down tasks into smaller parts and making each a quest... and naming related tasks in related ways that would show up wonderfully in an alphabetical order.

  11. Science cards

Hey! Love the ted talk, just started playing superbetter! Thanks!

Question: how can I access the science cards in the quests? The name is hyper linked (example Stress Buster, Tame your stress science card) but it won't let me click on Tame your stress! Thanks in advance for the help :)

  13. Completed/To do Quest filters

Currently there are only two ways to filter quests: current and past. When in current mode, the quests that have not been completed & ones that you have recently completed are in mixed order.

It would be so much easier to visualise and look through new quests by adding two more filters: completed and incomplete/to do.

Thanks for your time, hope you will introduce this.

  14. Being able to decide the number of points a custom quest/power up/bad guy gives

Being able to decide the number of points a custom quest/power up/bad guy gives.
And being able to decide for multiple kind of resilience points.
To avoid astronomic numbers you can chose a limit (ex. between +1 and +10), or even better, let members vote the reward and apply the average.

  15. Different levels of Quests

Not all quests are created equal! It would be great for quests to have different levels, with different points rewarded accordingly, ie mini quest, normal quest, difficult quest, milestone goal.

  18. quests on the to-do list

I've noticed that this has been mentioned before but it obviously still hasn't been fixed properly - the daily 'to do' list of quests only picks three random options. I have completed about 7 quests today but because one of the ones of the to do list is left uncompleted (I am waiting for my friend to respond back to me in order to complete it) it only says I have accomplished 2/3 tasks.

I also think that this quest ticker should count up beyond 3 if you manage to accomplish more than 3 in a day. It would be…

  19. Quest checklist, adding more than one resilience

When I add a quest of my own, say I need to complete X tasks. It would be nice to have a checkbox in the quest, to mark the completion of a task in the quest.

Maybe it is possible, but I just don`t know how, but when i make my own power ups, quests, etc I can add only one type of resilience. What if it gives more than one? (Example: Playing a windpipe instrument would increase mental, emotional and physical.)

Love this app! Thanks for creating it :)

  20. Medication

I would really love to have a medication-based quest -- "take your meds"; but daily, twice a day (configurable for each user). Right now all I can do is make a quest "take morning meds", "take evening meds"; I would love there to be a builtin setup for this that would dovetail more nicely with health and wellness packs.
