  1. Really wanted to say thanks for creating this!

Really wanted to say thanks for creating this! I don't usually play games often so the concept was initially a bit strange. But I'm learning and living your insights with each little "aha" that comes after reading each quest

  2. Just wanted to share my week

I signed up to lose weight but I also decided to downlaod several other powerpacks, regarding my anxiety disorder, negatvity, love-hate relationship with my body. I had a week that would normally put me through the ringer, including lay-offs at my work place, breaking an all time highest weight, and stress relatedto relationships. But this week has turned out to be a joy. I am happier than I remember being in a long time and I think that even just a week of Super Better has really made me super better. I feel healthier, happier, more optimistic and more intune…

  3. A message for Jane

I have only just begun. I saw you speak on Superhacks and I thought I would give it a try on your webpage. I don't know much or understand a great deal of how the website works yet but may the Forces that be Bless and Keep you for doing this. My story was very similar to yours except the damage to my head was done by my now ex-husband to be. Bless you for providing this opportunity and for free. I have a love for you that someone so good could still be out there. Thank you. Merry meet.

  5. Just positive feedback

Not really an I idea, just positive feedback.

Im currently a counseling grad student and I work for an organization that works with children and teens with "behavioral disorders". I work with teens, most of whom battle depression anxiety and ptsd. I just saw the TED talk on Super better and checked it out online. Flipping amazing. I want to start a game with most of my clients. Great job and thanks for sharing.

  6. Alain de Botton / School of Life

Hi SuperBetter community! I've been reading /Religion for Atheists/ by Alain de Botton, and found a section on annotating successes and dictating behaviors with symbolic rewards -- that is, parents tasking their children using 'star charts' -- very relevant to what SuperBetter's project is. I'll cite two sentences but you can track down the text on Amazon's search inside this book pp75-77.

"If the idea of an adult star chart seems odd but not wholly without merit, it is because we are aware, in our more mature moments, of the scale of our imperfections and the depths of our childishness.…

  7. Charge us money, already!

You update your company blog roughly once a month. You've had a new site design in the pipeline for almost a year. Y'all are clearly understaffed and underfunded. Jane can give talks til she's blue in the face, but the product needs some work. And it's begging for sponsored PowerPacks etc since you've got so many little features and options, and some of them are begging to go behind a pay wall for the betterment of the whole. Like I want to change "physical" strengths so they're called "willpower" strengths, and it took me less than a month of use…

  8. SuperBetter, a force for good.

I know I posted some of this in the Mobile App section, but I want to put it here as well to make sure that someone, anyone, from the team that developed, maintained, consulted or helped this project take place can read this:

You should all be so proud. I hope you realise every day how many lives you've saved and how many people you've made better through this. You may not be scientists curing cancer, you may not be solving global conflicts, but what you've made here could have just as much of a profound, positive effect on the…

Thank you so much for sharing these beautiful thoughts. We deeply appreciate your feedback and gratitude. I have forwarded this message to the whole team to enjoy. Thank YOU for sharing your positivity and vision with the world!

    Warmly,

  9. Thank you

Thank you so much for making a terrible time in my life bearable. I was inspired to look into SuperBetter when I saw the TED talk about extending your life. I'm 22, studying at uni and about to finish and the whole notion of the big wide world is sending me into the territory of mad anxiety, but I'm already seeing improvements and aim to get SuperBetter at dealing with it :)

  12. Mood Elevator up, Depression down

I really just wanted to take the time to let you guys know that SuperBetter is helping me combat my depression. I go through depression like waves: for some periods of time, I'm up; then, a random day will come along and bring me crashing down. It's always very difficult for me to get up out of these down times, even though I go to a licensed therapist regularly. This time, however, I'm using SuperBetter, particularly the Mood Elevator power packs. I'm finishing ground floor now and moving on to the first floor. Please keep them coming! :) I'm sure…

  13. Reprogramming my Brain

I love how the "game" changes my point of view. Toiling up to the third floor via the steps instead of floating effortlessly with the elevator... well : I GET POINTS!!!

ANd I laugh at myself, and still take the stairs. And looking at the list of powerups and Quests I am reminded I do do things for myself during the day, so the day wasn't so bad.. and oh look- I could do THAT right now... and get points.

  15. thanks and can we create power packs?

Thanks so much! I have been achieving more with less burn out using SuperBetter!
I have lost 8 pounds, gained confidence and support, and improved my "tool kit" and daily progress in my graduate school work!
Will we be able to create our own custom power packs?
    Thanks again!

  18. From To-Do list to Tah-Done.

I love being organized. Well, I don't personally think I am but I appear to be. I'm actually quite a forgetful character, a scatter brain who struggles with distinguishing priorities and drops details more often than she can remember.

I love to get things done-that I know for sure-but it isn't something that is easy to do. In order to do something you have to be persistent; you have to desire something so badly that you will find out how to do it, how to do it well, and fight off discouraging set-backs and remarks. Constantly. Not everybody can do…

I would love to tell everyone on Facebook about this wonderful app. I'm not interested in everyone seeing my progress just advertising the app itself.
